Background

Life before Daingerfield:
Isabella grew up in Virginia, the only surviving child of a woodcutter. She was very close with her neighbor, Bess, and the girls spent most of their time together, plotting their futures together. Both were fiercely independent, and had the unfortunate circumstance of being born to rather temperamental men.

They vowed to run away together one day, and did so in their fifteenth year. They traveled to one of the neighboring towns and found shelter in the home of a kindly Madame. It was a month before she asked them to work for her, and while it was not the most pleasant line of work, the girls agreed that it was better this then being married off.

They began saving their money so that one day they could support themselves. Several years had passed and they had a large sum saved up when Bess met him. Isabella had thought he was just another customer who had taken a fancy to the idea of them. They liked to think they could ‘rescue’ them from this life, as they had no say over their position, they used to laugh at these men. As such it came as quite the surprise when Bess turned up missing, having run off with the money in the night to elope with her new beau.

Isabella moved on, and while she still saves her money, and in all likely-hood has more then enough to settle, she keeps working. She travels where she pleases, sometimes spending no more then a week, sometimes a year.

How did they come to Daingerfield:
Following robbery and abandonment in the desert, Isabella found herself rescued by one Edric Bell, at the price of 1/3 of her wages, and free service for himself and his men. Isabella has agreed, but has plans to leave as soon as she is able.

Surviving Daingerfield:
Isabella is new to Daingerfield. She has taken up residence in the Inn where she is now working.
